FiberHome’s OPTISEN Optical Fiber and Cable Industrial Base in Thailand Officially Commences Operations, Adding Brilliance to Global Expansion
On April 26 local time, the OPTISEN Optical Fiber and Cable Industrial Base, invested in and constructed by FiberHome in Thailand, officially commenced operations. The base will leverage a digital operation model, integrating digital management technologies into R&D innovation, production, supply chain management, and logistics, significantly enhancing Thailand’s high-end optical communication manufacturing capabilities. It will provide high-quality, reliable fiber optic network solutions for the region, empower the upgrade of digital infrastructure in Thailand and Southeast Asia, and propel regional digital development to new heights.
Grand Inauguration Ceremony Draws Distinguished Guests
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Thanat Thawikul, Assistant Minister of Labor of Thailand; Zhang Xiaoxiao, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand; Thitavorn Punnoi, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries; Luo Kunchu, Deputy General Manager of China Information and Communication Technology Group (CICT); Zeng Jun, Chairman of FiberHome; Li Shiyu, Vice President of FiberHome; as well as executives from Thai and Southeast Asian telecom operators, chamber representatives, partners, and other stakeholders, who jointly inaugurated the base.

In his speech, Thanat Thawikul, Assistant Minister of Labor of Thailand, highly commended the completion of the OPTISEN base. He emphasized that the base elevates Thailand’s position in the high-end optical communication industry chain, creates quality local employment opportunities, and accelerates the development of Thailand’s skilled workforce, marking a critical step in the nation’s digital transformation journey.

Zhang Xiaoxiao, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, highlighted that the launch of the OPTISEN base is not only a major milestone for FiberHome’s overseas expansion but also a significant achievement under the Belt and Road Initiative framework. She noted that the project fosters technological cooperation between China and Thailand, generates valuable jobs, drives sustained economic growth, and expressed optimism that OPTISEN will further contribute to digital advancement across Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Luo Kunchu, Deputy General Manager of CICT, stated that the OPTISEN base reflects CICT’s global production strategy and represents the internationalization of China’s optical communication standards, management practices, and sustainable development philosophy. He affirmed CICT’s commitment to expanding industrial cooperation in Thailand, deepening partnerships, and jointly building a shared future for the China-Thailand information and communication industry, thereby contributing to Thailand’s digital vision.
